We, the family of God at San Antonio Catholic Church, welcome all...

* to proclaim the Gospel,
* to celebrate the Eucharist,
* to share the laughter and the tears

Presented to the Parish by the first San Antonio Pastoral Council
Easter Sunday, April 11, 2004

The family that is San Antonio Catholic Church began as a mission on Sept. 8, 1992, and became a Parish on April 20, 1993. The Diocese of Venice named our Parish in memory of the first Spanish Catholic Mission built on the shores of the Peace River in 1565. On the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua, June 13, 1994, ground was broken on Rampart Blvd. for our provisional church. This provisional house of worship seats’ 550, with means to expand to 750, and has offices, meetings rooms, and kitchen. Our facility opened with the celebration of Mass on the Feast of St. Anthony in 1995 - a year, to the day, after breaking ground, and 800 years after St. Anthony's birth. Formal dedication of the facility was held on Oct. 15, 1995.  The Good Shepherd Ministry Building was dedicated on Sept. 8, 2006 in honor of our founding pastor, Rev. Thomas J. Zedar.
