Bereavement Ministry
When a death occurs, the Director of Pastoral Ministries or a Bereavement Minister will visit the family and assist them in planning an appropriate final service for their loved one. Family support and home visits are provided as needed for one year.
Other facets of the program include the Memorial Prayer Garden
engraved leaf for the Tree of Life (a gift of the Women's Guild,
"Mourning Rays", monthly grief-related messages, "Mourning Light",
our bereavement support group, "Preplanning Your Funeral
Liturgy..." and the annual All Souls Mass. Provide support to
families who have lost a loved one.
- Bereavement Ministers visit with family members who have
lost a Loved one.
- Mourning Light - an 8-session bereavement support group
offered twice during the year.
- Hospital Visits
- Assistance in planning funeral liturgies.
- Provide assistance in Pre-planned funeral arrangements.
